Welcome (Secret business that we had to sign an NDA for) to the GS gang.

Today, we are very happy and excited to welcome someone new to our gang. After many hours, many conversations, internal battles, and colorful debates…we have selected a winner for our Guerilla Suit Everything Free (FREE) contest. This winner was the strongest fit for our selection criteria. We were looking for an enterprise that fired our imagination, had a strong business model, a unique idea, potential for long term growth, and the broadest use of our skills and services. At the end of the day, (Secret business that we had to sign an NDA for) was chosen because they represented the best overall pairing. It is a progressive and exciting idea in the area of online media and technology…which comes with its own unique set of obstacles. Although it might be a less safe choice for us (and not a very sound PR move out of the gate), it still feels like the right one because at the end of the day, the risk, the challenge and the opportunity are the most interesting to us.

The process will begin tomorrow. In less than 4 months, we will be asked by (Secret business that we had to sign an NDA for) to create an identity, stationary system, brand environment and standards, a website, and social media package. We will also be asked to consult on marketing, modeling, strategy, advertising, and execution. Our plan is to put the best possible face on this introduction and operation of this brand…and then serve as a steward for its growth over time.

A special thank you, tak, gracias, merci, danke, and obrigado goes out to all of the contestants that entered. We were blown away by the number of entries and breadth of creativity and passion. From restaurants to bands, technology to co-ops, aids research to bobble head dolls…we saw it all. Kudos to everyone out there that is trying to make their mark.
