Account Director
We are looking for an experienced Account Director to manage multiple client accounts, overseeing the development and execution of various brand projects including (but not limited to) positioning, messaging, collaborative creative ideation, planning, programming, and advising on product or service considerations. The Account Director will work alongside our Managing Partner in cultivating new and existing client relationships fostering agency growth.
Requirements

What skills & experience you bring:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in account management, project management, or brand strategy, preferably in a branding or creative agency environment.
  • Knowledge of deliverables, practices, and procedures in brand, design, marketing and advertising fields.
  • Familiarity with production processes for large and small format print, merchandise, fabrication, photography, on-premise, video, etc. 
  • Experience with social media and digital marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Familiarity  with website design and development projects.

  • High Emotional IQ - proven ability to empathize, collaborate, promote communication, and inspire teamwork between multidisciplinary teams.

  • Highest attention to detail across multiple projects with the ability to balance priorities.
Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing:

Building Relationships - 

  • Nurture existing client relationships, retaining and strengthening our client base.
  • Identify opportunities for client growth that align with client interests, capabilities and budgets allowing for account expansion and growth.
  • Provide recommendations and sell additional agency service to clients.
  • Lead client presentations and pitches for new business opportunities.

Driving Curiosity- 

  • Counsel clients on branding, marketing, and communications, offering insights and recommendations based on knowledge of industry trends.
  • Facilitate work sessions leading detailed discussions to understand client objectives. 
  • Analyze market research and collect information regarding consumer behavior. 
  • Oversee the development of strategic positioning and internal brand messaging.
  • Present strategy and positioning recommendations to clients. 

Championing Creativity - 

  • Collaborate in crafting creative briefs, defining guidelines for the creative team to execute client assignments.
  • Guide teams with strategic thought leadership inspiring  work that is innovative and impactful.

Motivating Team Members - 

  • Embrace and strengthen agency culture.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
  • Mentor and support Account Team members providing guidance.

Improving Processes -

  • Track and review hours against SOW for burn and monthly reporting, ensuring profitable, quality service. 
  • Work with the Account Team to slate and manage client assignments. 
  • Consistently communicate the progress of client initiatives to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes for the overall account team working to implement and document improvements.
