We let our beer do the talking.

Karbach Brewing Co. has been able to build a brand that marries thoughtfully crafted beer with a rock and roll spirit and love for their community. The brand is wild and yet still approachable. This spirit is reflected in their beer, and we wanted their website to do the same.

One of the biggest challenges we faced while redesigning the site was finding a way to give their eclectic beer lineup the spotlight without overwhelming visitors to the site. We wanted to find a way to let the design show personality while remaining functional and clean. To achieve this balance we selected a simple palette for the site itself and let the beer cans themselves to provide bold splashes of color and personality.

Each beer that Karbach produces has its own unique personality and sub-brand. It was important to us to give each beer its due, so each beer has its own page where users can read more about the beer, look at related statistics, and even find recommended food pairings. To further create a unique spotlight for each beer, the color of each respective beer page adapts to reflect the design of the corresponding can.

Karbach is a company that genuinely cares about their community. For this reason, we wanted to create a community space on the site that would highlight major events in a bold way while still making it easy to find, share, and navigate.
